The School of Distance Education, University of Calicut invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to the following Post-graduate courses during the Academic Year 2009-2010.
Last date for receipt of filled in Application form : 10th September 2009
Last date for receipt of filled in Application form With fine of Rs.100/- : 20th September 2009
Last date for receipt of filled in Application form with a super fine of Rs.750/- : 30th September 2009
1 M.Sc.Mathematics
Eligibility : 50% in Part III BSc. Maths main excluding sub or B.Sc. Maths +MCA
2. M.Com Finance/Marketing
Eligibility : 45% in B.Com Part II/BBA/BBS/BBM
3. M.A.Economics
Eligibility : 45% in B.A. Part III Economics main excluding sub / B.Com/ 60% in Part III of B.Sc. Maths/Statistics
4. M.A.Sociology, History, Political Science, Philosophy
Eligibility : 45% in Part III of any Bachelors Degree
5. M.A English, Malayalam, Hindi, Arabic, Sanskrit, Tamil
Eligibility : 45%in Part III B.A. of the concerned subjects or Part II of B.A./B.Sc(Part I English for M.A.English) (3 papers) or equivalent
Relaxation in requirement of minimum marks will be given as per rules. (see prospectus) Candidates from
abroad and outside Kerala should apply through approved counselling centres which are available in the
University Website.
How to apply:
The applications can be downloaded from the official university website. The prospectus and details of fee to be remitted at the time of admission and how to apply can be had from the website. Spot admission at School of Distance Education from August 17 to September 30 on all working days. Candidates should come with filled in application, fee receipts, and all original certificates and get admitted. The certificates will be returned on the spot. Spot admission fee:Rs.50/- (to be remitted by chalan)
